From Hacking & Global Warming to Reconstructing India…

...or how to get to the matter of what you really want to discuss…particularly when you are unable to connect your laptop to the projector AND the audience is a restless group of 150+ very smart 19-year olds…and you don’t have all the time in the world…and there is no bar on questions!

For your viewing pleasure, the beginning of the talk at Sunderdeep Engineering College at Ghaziabad, Feb ’11 (uploaded on facebook). This turned into a 1.5hr free-wheeling (and impromptu!) discussion/Q&A…

It was also a lesson for me on how to hold the attention of 150+ 19-year-olds who have had very little exposure to deep analysis and to critical issues facing politics and governance in India…

    Shantanu,
You are a natural presenter!!! I guess I am a disaster when it comes to presentations not related to anything technical or pre-sales. Is being at ease with any kind of audience something that gets better with time or experience?

Sid: Thanks! I guess one does get better with practice (and dare I say, age?!).

    Shantanu,

That was simply fantastic! Thank you for sharing the video. To add to the above comment, I guess without the kind of passion you have niether age nor presentation skills will count for much. Rock on!
