    I use my kindle a lot. But why would anyone force me to pay up for reading a free blog there escapes me. It is indeed possible to use the experimental browser in kindle to point to SJ and read the blog. Putting a comment using that small keyboard is another matter.

    Sid,

    Can you tell the version of Kindle do you use? How good is the wireless to download books?

    @Malavika,
    I use a Kindle DX and use whispernet to download books when I am in US (not that it works everywhere there, I did not get any signal in Montana). If I am in Europe or India, then I download to PC and then transfer it to Kindle.

    @ Sid,

    When you download a book to your PC, were you able to use your Adobe Acrobat to copy/paste/save sections of text?

    Thanks,

    @Malavika,
    copy/paste works, but what do ya mean by “save”?

    If copy and paste works, that should be enough to save the text and references, for future use.

    I hoping that the pages(file) are in text format rather than the image like Google books. I just could not copy and paste from a Google book, even though the copyright of the book had expired.

    It appears like the book downloaded is in text format. That is what I am looking for.
