Thought for the weekend…

From A Sharm-less surrender by G Parthasarathy (emphasis mine)

Assertions by Mr Singh that India and Pakistan are both equally “victims” of terrorism, that they share a “common destiny”, or that a rising India cannot assert its rightful place in the comity of nations without good relations with Pakistan, are factually incorrect and undermine Indian diplomacy. A democratic, secular India cannot share a “common destiny” with a theocratic, feudal and military-dominated Pakistan, which is being challenged by terrorists the ISI backed to ‘bleed’ India and seek ‘strategic depth’ in Afghanistan.

India, on the other hand has been a victim of the terrorism sponsored by Pakistan. Equating the two countries, as we have done in Sharm el-Sheikh, is ill-advised. India’s economic growth has accelerated and its international profile has flourished by its partnership with the international community in forums like the G-8 and G-20, despite Pakistan-sponsored terrorism and diplomatic hostility. We can ‘rise’ in the world with or without Pakistan’s cooperation. The more we suggest that we need Pakistan’s meherbani to accelerate economic growth, or rise in world affairs, the more those who cannot countenance India’s rise in the world within Pakistan’s establishment will continue to ‘bleed’ us.

Hon. Foreign Minister Sh S M Krishna:

In spite of Pakistan’s reluctance to help us improve relations with it, India’s endeavour would be to persuade them.

We hope Pakistan will see sense in this kind of approach…

    Amen.

Pakistan identity is based on the premise of anti-Indianness! So SM Krishna is only hallucinating. The root of Indo-Pak conflicts

The more important matter of concern here is after the blunder has been done, the government is power is again trying to do what its best at – Confuse the common man with enough mis-information to last the rule!

  4. Is it me or SM Krishna increasingly looks & behaves like Shivraj Patil? His debate reply on 7/31/2009 had nothing to do with the topic. It was full of patent arrogant smirks and nothing short of a filibuster. Wasting tax payers money, he spoke for more than an hour but reffered to Sharm-less Surrender only once. Giving us all kinds of textbook Geography & History (doctored) lessons. Ofcourse praised Nehru-Gandhi clan for their “vision”.

He also showed his Muslim Rightist colors. Said Bharat recognizes & supports cause of Palestine. In other words Israel can go to Hell, we support the means of Palentinians i.e. terror.

Jerk spoke for 2 mins on surrender of sellout Manmohan to Pak but for 15 mins on what Muslim Rightist Congress is doing to make Haj TAX FREE and as comfortable as possible. Lok & Rajya Sabha websites have a wealth of info. Bharatvaasi & Hindus dont need to depend and then b*t*h about media prejudice. If only we watch/read debates for truth from the horses mouth.

Please don’t miss the must read speech of Arun Shourie in Rajya Sabha on 7/30/09 about sellout foreign policy & nonexistent security in Bharat. http://bit.ly/ZbcOi

Call me a pessimist, but I am feeling that Uncle Sam had decided that India should give away kashmir, and nothing can be done to alter that.
However my worry is, will we atleast get something in return?
Here is my wishlist in the order of reducing plausibility.
    1. Uniform civil code
    2. Devolution of more power from center to states
    3. Ram temple at ayodhya
    4. at the risk of sounding preposterously optimistic – UNSC seat.

Putting aside the wishlist, do we get any relief from the parasitic Kashmiris. The kashmir valley population is less than 1crore. And just compare the amount of news coverage and international attention given to the plight of Kashmiris when we have many poorer suffering in BiMaRU + Orissa states.
I suspect even if India gives away Kashmir, some pragmatic and intelligent Kashmiri muslims may try to jump into Jammu. But they may not be secular muslims. They know that their games dont work in front of Pakistani Punjabi muslims and whereas they can always leech on Hindus. Already many such kashmiris occupied jammu lands. And they breed a lot. Do we still have Abdullas and Ghulam Nabi Azad managing our national affairs? My blood boils whenever Ghulam Nabi Azad comes to southern states to manage national and state affairs of congress. It is truly kafkaesque that we can’t even travel to kashmir safely but kashmiris can migrate and prosper anywhere in India and even become national cabinet ministers etc still we remain the bad guys.
