ADR’s latest initiative: MyNeta.info

Dear All, I am very pleased to share news about the latest initiative from friends at ADR: http://myneta.info/

MyNeta is a a phenomenal effort to empower voters and to make them more aware of their candidates’ background, assets and other details from affidavits…Besides being able to see profile of individual candidates, you can also make comparison charts by constituency e.g. here is the chart for Gandhinagar, Sh Advani’s constituency: http://myneta.info/gandhinagar

This time, make an informed choice – and pl. spread the word.

I wonder why TN is not taken seriously in any of such sites. None of the sites have details of TN candidates, be it this one or empowerindia or mapmyindia or timesofindia.
Is it because everyone is afraid that people might select the candidates with most number of criminal cases or may be the most rich? !!

Nanda: Thats very very strange…Let me check out a few more sites…

Have you tried IndiaToday’s site and IBN-CNN?

Thanks for alerting me to this.

Indeed a very good effort. Thanks for sharing Shantanu. But national security is at grave danger with such maniacs at helm: “Indian Passport for bribe of $100 / रु॰ 5000”

Thanks for such a beautiful endorsement.
To answer question about Tamil Nadu. Its not being ignored. The election is in 5 phases and TN happens to be in the fifth phase. The affidavits become available 15 days before the date of polling .. and it takes a lot of time to read, punch data, review data etc before we can publish.

Its coming, every state, every constituency, every candidate will be right there.

I respect and appreciate the effort put by myneta and its a great service to the nation and its people.

I have some reservations on these affidavit data as well.
    1. The affidavit only shows white money, but every tom dick and harry has crores of black money (we can see that in their daughters’ marriages). Black money of these politicians will be unbelievably huge.
    2. We really can’t differentiate whether Sri Advani’s 3 Crores is good or Smt Sonia’s 1 Crore; if Sri Lalu’s 3 Crore or Sri ShivrajSingh’s 88Lakh; even whether Sri Ananth Kumar Hegde’s 3 criminal cases are worse or 0 criminal case the wife of convicted Sahabuddin or Sri LKA’s 1 criminal case.

Its a pity that we cannot see the details of the UPA PM candidate Sri MMS. I’m sure he will be genuinely clean though, unlike his bosses who still don’t own any car or house.

Courtesy Monisha, this performance tracker of Members of Parliament (from PRS) http://prsindia.org/index.php?name=mptrack15

  7. Rohit says:

The performance tracker is a misleading statement. Parameters like attendance, raising private bills are more or less junk parameter to judge performance.
