You can salute her cheating skills for showing fake proofs, but how can you salute her for lying that she is clean and for showing fake proofs. Don’t you know about her gimmics about those so called gifts? And seriously, how can you leave aside the matter of how she earned so much money and solute her for just showing proof? Do you realize your credibility is in stake by such posts or are you getting too comfortable and arrogant with your readers?
Gypsy and Nanda: I think you both may have missed the tongue-in-cheek nature of the post…or perhaps I did not make myself clear… (I think the last line was a give-away though – Truly, MerA BhArat MahAan !)
On a more serious note, I did think a lot before posting on this…Like you both (and I suspect many other readers), I have grave doubts regarding:
1] How her wealth was acquired? and
2] How much of it has really been accounted for?
That said, Mayawati-ji is neither the least corrupt nor the most corrupt amongst the political leaders that we have…but she is the ONLY one (and please correct me if I am wrong here) who – in the memorable words of Tavleen Singh – “…has the courage to declare her assets and this makes her in a weird sort of way more honest than ninety percent of our politicians.”
I need not mention that Maywati’s opponents are not that clean either… and many of you probably already know that while Sh Lalu Yadav has been charge-sheeted in the Fodder Scam, he is yet to be convicted.

Lucknow, Aug. 10: If the BJP has its Ram, the Bahujan Samaj Party has found its Krishna.
In her new-found avatar of protector of the upper castes, Mayavati has turned her gaze towards Vrindavan and Mathura, the birthplace of Krishna, by offering a development package of Rs 250 crore.
The foundation for the first part of the development projects was laid on Wednesday.
The projects launched for Krishna Janmabhoomi includes construction of a railway overbridge on a metre gauge line (Rs 230 crore), a Ganga pollution control project (Rs 22.71 crore), a bridge on the Yamuna river at KC Ghat (Rs 20 crore), renovation of roads in Vrindavan (Rs 94.55 crore), setting up a power sub-station and a 25km 132 KVA transmission line from Maat (Rs 38.82 crore).

I appreciate Smt Mayavati’s action, May Sri Krishna bless her. Whatever the reasons, votes/politics, she done something concrete. On the other hand, BJP play more lip services and propagandas than concrete actions. BJP had no guts to introduce Rs 4000-5000 Crores Hindu Tirtha Yatra subsidy, but increased Haj subsidy amounts during their rule.
Vrindavan and Mathura is visited by lakhs of foreign Sri Krishna devotees from across the world, other than millions of Bharatiya devotees. Bharat earn billions of dollars foreign exchange from religious tourism, ISKCON devotees being the largest numbers.

My comment:
1. More important than the article are the readers feedback. Higher education, economic richness, higher living quality, sophistry in talks, living globally, etc nothing changed the oppressive/controlling mentality of so-called higher castes people.
2. They can accept an Italian barmaid/waitress with barely high-school level education and a fradulent natualised citizenship with master criminal background (main instrument of Bofors scam and Quottrochi) as Super PM of India. But they can’t tolerate a well-educated, daughter of the soil, from poorest of the poor strata of Bharat, lowest of the lowest social class (called Chammar), charismatic personality, and a true mass leader as PM of Bharat.
3. What are the reasons? Is it skin color? Is it caste? Is it physical appearance? Is it some surname TAG? Italian woman and her clan surely belong to their superior Aryan race, master race to brown low-grade Aryans. And Bharatiya daughter of the soil is a darked skin, a scheduled caste or derogatory called Dalit (a Chammar). How can people of Aryan race be under the rule of a Chammar woman?
4. But rules of games are changing. No one thought of a poor Chammar woman would be the ruler to a largest province of Bharat, that too 4th times. And she did it with her own talent, charisma, and leadership. Aryan Bharatiya wake up to the reality. Try to see the truth without prejudice, she is a leader by her own. And not with inherited surname tags, or royal family lineages, or showy Delhite drawing room intellectuals.
5. If I would not have supported Shri LK Advani as BJP=NDA candidate, surely I would have supported Smt Mayavati as PM. But she have age before her, time before her, above good wishes of ours (atleast me). I would not be surprised, if after next election she becomes the PM of Bharat. She have trillions of times chances than the non-elected and nominated puppet PM of today. Even BJP-NDA would support her, if they don’t get the numbers. So Left would have no problem to support her, even means alligning with BJP.

Why we shld all vote the Mayawati to power in Delhi:
1. Push our armed forces to near revolt because the Sonia-led-Congress-led-UPA has no respect for our men in uniform.
2. While the SLCLUPA PM is globe trotting with the nuclear begging bowl, the feisty Seema Goyal is climbing up and down the stairs of deaf men in Delhi because Sonia is ‘busy, the PM is preparing for Condy’s visit to Delhi and the President is holding all appointments waiting for Christian missionaries and human rights industrialists bleeding in the hearts for dead jihadis, to knock on her doors.
3.Soumya of Headlines Today is killed and the SLC CM of Delhi says blithely young women shldnt be adventerous.
4. Shivraj Patil tells the CM of Orissa what he must do and not do – medicines he wont swallow, gargle or even touch with the tip of his tongue.
5. Having passed the begging bowl successfully around in the US and France altho there isnt a dime in it even now, our SLCLUPA PM says attacks against christians is an international embarassment. Dear dear, jihadi attacks against hindus is passe, religious conversion can more and more resemble pimping in the name of religion and this doesnt embarass the man nor does the killing of young women in delhi every other day, that our sailors have been held hostage for over 20 days doesnt cost him to miss a step as he prances down to meet Condi, but attacks against chrsitians is an international embarassment.
6. But vote for Mayawati ladies and gentlemen, because i havent seen or heard the BJP on any of these issues. Has any of you? At least Mayawati is honest about her single-point agenda. She wants to ebcome the PM and why not. She cant be worse than the one we have and those wanting to become – Indian, Italian or half-Italian.

I do not agree with this eulogising of Mayawati for causing development in Krishna janmabhoomi. Can the author please ask whether the so called ‘beneficiaries’ of the development project i.e. devotees are happy or not. They have been launching protest against construction of bridge on Yamuna. The development project is done only with a ‘profit’ motive. There is no need for such kind of infrastructure development in Vrindavan where the ecology is being disturbed by these projects. The purpose of development project should be to enhance the ecology of the area and keep it as a natural place devoid of traffic and highrise structure. Please do not look at it as a tourist destination but as a holy place.
Hope you had some experience of going to a holy place.
