Quick Quiz: Which is the odd one out?

Highly Recommended: Be Wary of Prime Time?, from which this excerpt:

Think about it. Which politician would you associate these words with? Youthful, charisma, hardworking, charming, friendly, hope, change?…

The man in question has done no wrong. He has submerged himself into the crowds, done a lot of hard work and even today is Indias best chance for a Prime Minister (they tell you), despite not having governed anything more than ones own dinner plate. No questions about merit, no questions about suitability, nothing is ever asked of him. I don’t even remember if he ever gave an interview to any TV channel. But that’s not required.

Watch those words above, those adjectives. The adjectives that neatly associate his name with “dripping goodness”. His images are plastered with a lot of Indias successes. Some TV channels put him up nicely when India won the world cup. Images of his are always where he waves to crowds, smiles. That way, they have, softly, subtly associated those successes in your mind with him.

…Let us see this once again. Which political party would you associate the word “Scam” with? Answer: All political parties. Yes, despite the fact the most corrupt government ever in the history of India is presently ruling us.

It has a clutch of its ministers in jail or just released with a few others under trial for various scams. And the party which heads the current government is the Congress. But it is highly unlikely that those words will ever be associated with the Congress. Hence, scams are always associated with UPA or “politicians” in general or to the sundry tails that wag the dog that is the UPA, but the goodness only belongs to Congress.

…That in a nutshell is priming, for  you.

    I think it is this one
    “Baba Ramdev guilty of negligence: Supreme Court on Ramlila crackdown – NDTV”

    Being Nehru Dynasty TV, nothing better is expected of them. They chose to forget police ‘high handedness’.

    Other’s tried to have some fig leaf of respectability by blaming both, Ramdevji and Delhi Police. Something like all politicians are equally guilt/bad when it comes to Congress leaders.

    Here is an excerpt from daily pioneer
    “”It is a glaring example of trust deficit between the people governing and the people being governed,” the bench said, adding that police action is meant to bring peace but they breached peace themselves.

    Blaming both Ramdev and the Delhi Police, the court directed criminal prosecution of police personnel and Ramdev’s supporters who had behaved violently during the incident.

    The bench said that the policemen had assaulted sleeping victims.

    There was abuse of power by the Delhi Police and fundamental rights of people were violated, the bench said.”

    govt has discretion for alloting advertisement to newspapers. Hence no newspaper will appear anti govt. The solution is remove govt discretion while alloting ads which should be based on no. of subscrbers.

    its really surprising that SC simply ignored that fact that – even though ramdevji asked police to arrest him and not beat public – police did not arrest him

    i was there on 4th june night – and i myself heard ramdevji speak thru mic to the police and while on shoulders of another swami, that police please arrest him and not beat public

    had not ramdevji maintained control on the public, and also since these common simple yoga doing people – else there would have been disaster with many people and police personnel dying on that day

    i believe SC judgement is not correct and political judgement

    NDTV is a propoganda arm for Congress is well known..
    Having said this it can be proved if one understands a little psychology and applies consumer behaviour fundamentals on the set-up, the news watechers being consumers of the news and NDTV the advertiser and news being the commodity…the news clips.. the timing how something is said and who says it…all part of perfect marketing set-up..nothing wrong with it though in general..

    Criminal however when you apply the context in which NDTV operates perfect pitching against anything non-congress…

    yes this is NDTV’s time but time and tide changes one day or the other…sooner or later… I hope some day NDTV is nationalized and its reporters having to confess the farce they play out day in and day out..

    @Adi,

    NDTV has never made a yearly profit so far. And its puppet masters are Congis. Recently some Congress leaders Son In LAw bought a stake in NDTV. So, it is officially a Nehru Dynasty TV.

    @Deepak,

    If the govt funds print/TV why not internet? the key is to take away entire govt funding of TV/Print media. Then a good chunk of them will close down.
