So it was not about “Kashmiriyat”?
The majority of our people are Muslims. How can we not talk of Islam?
I can’t help wondering – what happened to the famed “Kashmiriyat”?

It was never about kashmiriyat–always Islam. When people tell us (as
Geelani does when he says allah will destroy India–what he means really is that the muslims will) they seek our destruction, we should take them at their word. One thing that always amazes me is that in the entire last two decades, there has never been a single (not one) muslim leader, artist, spokesperson, who ever expressed any remorse at what happened to the Pandits. It is truly this lack of remorse on a community level that should make us hesitate to even consider negotiating with such people.
It is naive to expect muslims to reciprocate just because the Indian govt. provides haj subsidy. Where in the world muslim governments have helped non-muslims practice their faiths? Perhaps there are some, enlighen us.
Kaveri herself is a Kashmiri pandit refugee- so I guess someone here is asking some tough questions from the media!
