This is�how an otherwise straightforward news-story gets distorted in reporting:

Do you think Indian telly soaps promote the Hindu way of life? Was the Afghan government right in banning them?”
As a commentator has noted on the rediff board, pl. note�how the last question was artificially framed.
Instead of a straight-forward “Is Afghanistan becoming�Taliban-ised (once again)” it somehow manages to put�the TV serials on the defensive!
Of course for most of us familiar with Indian TV serials, saying that they promote a “Hindu way of life” is at best, a stretch and�at worst,�a joke.

Our serials are un-islamic to them but funds and help from many countries is not? Many trops from U.K., Canada, US and now France is also joining them to help build Afghanistan. Large amount of funding being sent their from un-islamic people’s tax money that also again from un-islamic countries. What are they going to do for that? Where does the Islam goes away at the time of taking others money and help? Different agenda for different things? Any way, showing their true colors.
Afghanistan earlier known as Gandhara and a part of India was once a flourishing centre of Buddhist culture and learning. But all changed when the Arabs invaded it and turned it into their colony and imposed their religion. Any amount of aid or the presence of Americans troops cannot bring any civilized change among the Afghans till they are freed from the shackles of their obnoxious mullahs. Meanwhile the Americans should deal severely with Saudi Arabia and Pakistan, the mother and father of Islamic terrorisms respectively.
Dear Sir,
It is very obvious these PRESSWALAs are having a rollicking time. We have a saying in India which readily converts to “Pinch the child and rock the cradle”. That is what they are doing.
In the guise of protecting the interests of India these GREATS, put questions which are self defeating.
They wish to ask questions like”Have you stopped beating your wife?”
Many fall into the trap and we are let disputing and arguing and left in a time warp.
We know that all this “NEWS” is a lot BS and they sell their souls to get a two bit time somewhere sometime.
Just forget these warmongers and let us make life more pleasant for ourselves.
Let us focus on a growing and developing India rather on this nonsense. Please understand they are paid to fill in time slots.
Do not take their comments very seriously. They are available for the highest bidder.
If Afghanistan has banned the Indian serials, THEY ARE THE LOSERS not the Indian producers. On the other hand the distributors will make more on the SLY.

Yes, there was a time when they were Buddhists/Hindus. They were great scholars and their land a fountainhead of wisdom and knowledge, and then Islamic conquerors fell upon them and destroyed everything that was great and meaningfull. Today they live in abject poverty both economical and intellectual. They have a hoary past and no future. Though their perception is numbed by brutal authority but deep in their hearts they know too well that the cause of all their troubles is ISLAM. Our media is dangerous not only for their tyrant but for the tyrants of Pakistan and Bangladesh as well. Because once they become aware of the fact that long ago they were Hindu and they were converted to Islam by force, they may make up their mind to through away the dead-weight called Islam they are carrying on their tired shoulders, and become normal human beings.
I would like to comment that, most of the Indian Media is politically biased and immature, especially when it comes to BJP rules states they are surprisingly misleading the readers and viewers in this country. Infact, in my true knowledge BJP ruled states are doing well in many aspects if not all compare to other states.We know that there is not a single news paper or visual media which is not run by a family in this country.If you consider CNN-IBN it is the most visibly biased visual media channel ever India have seen, so obsessed with Gandhi dynasty,Rajdeep and his Wife Sagarika is totally after Narendra Modi and BJP. If Modi sneezes it is a headline story in CNN-IBN!.if you consider NDTV PRANNOY ROY is trying his best to be a pseudo-secularist. But if we closely watch each of their programs it is increasingly getting biased and a person with common sense can understand what is going on behind the scene.Prannoy Roy and Barkha Dutta believes they are the only intellectuals left in this country!.If you look at the news papers, we know the history of Indian express. What role Goenka played in Indian politics utilizing his family run news paper business.Vir Sanghvi of Hindustantimes ( Late KK Birla is a staunch congressman) is all the way praising Sonia as if his career itself is pledged for that cause. A fair exemption can be made for Times of India ,I don’t know If I am correct.Otherwise there is a serious conspiracy going on this country by these new founded intellectual Pseudo Secularists.We must be able to differentiate what is right and what is wrong as these channels are targeting young urban population mixing news with bit of masalas and Tabloid especially the Hip-hop culture. They are not aware that their credibility and neutrality is being lost infront of the masses.In India Media ethics is a neglected truth.It is the era of family run businesses for personal and political gains.In the name of freedom of speech they are misleading the people to make thier own profit and gains.Who care where this will lead the country to?????
