Avoid information overload…get “Feeds”

Dear Friends and Readers,

In this day and age, information overload is a real risk to all of us who surf the net for news, information or research.  Thankfully there is a way to manage some of this risk now using “feeds”.

What are “Feeds”?
“Feeds” are snippets of headlines/text from posts on a blog that save you the trouble of visiting a blog everyday to find out if it has been modified or not. Feeds can also alert you to new posts, and since you can read some excerpts from the post within the feed itself, you are able to pick and choose what you want to read.

A feed reader AUTOMATICALLY picks the feed whenener I post something new and you can also use the same reader to read “feeds” from your favorite Web sites and other blogs without having to remember to check each site manually everyday/ everyweek.

How can you get a feed?
I have recently started a feed of posts on my blog which I would enourage you to subscribe to.

If you have a google or yahoo account, I encourage you to use them to get automatically notified of new posts on my blog. GoogleReader and My Yahoo! both have this feature and you can also use newsgator, bloglines or netvibes or several others if you dont like Google or Yahoo!.

You can also get a “feed” of comments by clicking here

What should you do next?
Please click on this link http://feeds.feedburner.com/SatyamevaJayate and choose your reader OR copy and paste this link as a URL in your readers to see the latest blog entries.

.

You can also choose to Subscribe by Email if you prefer that.

You can unsubscribe any time and you will only get one email per day – regardless of the number of posts each day and you will not get any email if I do not publish a post on any particular day.

.

Of course, you are always very welcome on the blog itself – mainly because I value you not just as readers but also contributors to the various discussions and issues (via comments). So please do continue to visit the site on a regular basis.

One again, thank you for your continued support.
Dhanyawaad and Jai Hind,
Shantanu

P.S. You can also add the feed by clicking on the orange button under “Subscribe” in the right hand pane.
