A parallel to “All Roads lead to Islamabad”

An Op-Ed in today’s (Mar 23 ’06) Indian Express, “What is it about Pakistan?” http://www.indianexpress.com/story/934.html closely parallels an essay I wrote a few weeks back (“All roads lead to Islamabad“) on how Pakistan manages to escape sanction and condemnation from the international community in spite of numerous transgressions of international norms and conventions.

Will someone stand up and say what needs to be said, i.e.

  • Pakistan is a state-sponsor of terrorism
  • It is responsible for nuclear proliferation in Iran and North Korea
  • The ISI has been the “god-father” of Al-Qaeda and continues to support and sponsor jihadi activities, including in Kashmir
  • Pakistan’s madrassas harbour a growing number of jihadi terrorists and fanatics who will stop at nothing in their quest for total domination.
