Making a Difference

This post is about “Making a Difference“.  Making a difference by donating probably the most precious thing of all - our time.

I am certain that most of you regularly do your bit for charity, by contributing whatever you can to various worthwhile causes.

I am not asking you to stop that. But sometimes there is work that needs passion, dedication and commitment. Unfortunately, these are things which money cannot buy.

This post is about a few such initiatives.

On a trial basis, I would like to create a list of “projects” that need time and volunteers (not just money). Please be aware that none of this activity is paid. It is entirely voluntary. I will be linking the projects on this page, along with the contact details for more information.

Please feel free to send me your requests for volunteers/a link on this page if you are involved in any such activity that helps our country and our citizens – directly or indirectly.

*** Important ***

Please bear in mind that all requests may not necessarily be accepted. This is a not the page to ask people to donate to charity and requests for monetary contribution (only) will not be entertained.

I reserve the right to decide what is appropriate to link here and what is not. Note that I have not personally vetted all the projects. You should email the relevant contacts to find out more.

***

To start with, here are four potential projects which need your time and attention. I will keep adding to this list as we go along.

*** Pilot Initiative – First List of Projects ***

Feedback/ Suggestions/ Comments and thoughts welcome, as always.

I must specifically mention and thank Naren and Varun here.

Naren has already volunteered to help translate some of the affidavits for EmpoweringIndia.

Varun has agreed to spare his time and effort to help Parama Karuna-ji.

    Thank you, both of you.
