Sir, I had a question based on your talk at IIMB on 21st Nov. Actually this question came to my mind on that day after the talk. I couldnt get much time to post it here.

How do these govt rules really impact businesses and idea that completely work online? Let me explain this question a bit more:

Say a tech graduate has written a nice piece of application that is used by individuals or organizations. Say for example a simple e-mail application or a meeting-recorder application. Most of the times all you need a simple laptop and a broadband connection to write, test, validate and sell this. Also, often the cost of the application will be so less that the money made out of such a business transaction may not even serve the vendor’s monthly coffee 🙂

In such a case, there is little real estate involved, there is little involvement with any govt agency. Only interaction would be with IT people if the transaction earn a considerable amount of money for the vendor.

In these cases, there is little chance that harassment by politicians or bureaucracy really happens.

An added question to this would be: “Are small and micro IT business which literally are exclusively on-line and do not need any interaction with any govt agency whatsoever a good method to show to policy makers that people will prosper if and only if they are allowed to do business at their will instead of Govt dictating terms to them?”
