The 1000th post and a Big “Thank You”!

Thank You

I have so much to say…but for once, I feel lost for words…

This post is an important milestone in a journey that began more than five years ago. It is the 1000th post published on this blog. It feels like a lot… but your support, encouragement, participation and engagement has made this a truly enjoyable experience.

Without its readership, this blog would have been a lone voice in the wilderness. Thanks to everyone who stumbled on this blog, or were referred to by a friend or discovered it accidentally – or were told by me to read it!

You have made this journey worthwhile.

And a special thanks to everyone who has ever left a comment. Without your thoughts and comments (now approaching 11,600), it would have been a very monotonous blog, devoid of colour. Thanks to all of you who enriched the content and made it far more readable and enjoyable…

I am truly grateful.

It has been a long  journey. Thank you for making it so worthwhile for me.

This post will not be complete without an acknowledgement of gratitude and thanks to someone very special…that “someone special” has been my first reader, a very loyal supporter and a true companion throughout this period of discovery and self-realisation.

Without her support, this would have been impossible to do. I thank her for sacrificing countless hours while I was busy at the keyboard or doing background research. I also thank her for being patient with me through my “dark periods” and moments of despair.  And special thanks to my little one too – who has endured my long periods of silence as I was busy at the keyboard or reading something…and who has been patient enough as I have tried to explain things to her.

I would like to dedicate this post to the two special people – my wife and my daughter.

Please continue writing in and please continue to spread the word.

This blog has got to where it is today entirely due to your efforts.

As I wrote in an earlier post, if each one of you decides to tell one new person about this site every week, I will have a 50 new readers within a year. If just 20 of you decide to help, I will have 1000 new readers by the end of this year. I can hardly do that without your support and encouragement.

Do let your friends and acquaintances about the blog…Do ask them to read, participate, comment and join the Google or Facebook community.

I am very fortunate to have a memorable URL for my blog:  http://Satyameva-Jayate.org/ Pl.  do suggest the site to like-minded people and those who you think may enjoy its content.

Thanks for visiting the site, for contributing and sharing your thoughts and for being loyal in your readership

Jai Hind, Jai Bharat!

  1. Well done, Shantanu

I came across your blog only just over 2 years ago when someone referred it to me. During this period I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the wide variety of issues you’ve raised. Consistently high quality.

In comparison I started my blog 3 years ago and so far have only made 58 posts, that too with a lot of hard work (and many posts are work in progress). At this rate it will take me another 47 years to reach your total of 1000 posts!

    Regards
    Sanjeev

There were only few topics like one which cover leaders like Ch. Shivaji, Ahilya Devi, Raja Bhoj etc I found interesting and to my like and taste. Somehow the section omits contribution of Sikhs which, I feel is insult on history our nation and should cover valor and might of Sikh leaders and rulers who time and again showed Moslem marauders and Christian marauders their right place. I don’t know but Shantanu seems to have some reservations here. The topic associated with History is also good one like Aryan invasion theory. The current affairs stuff is boring because it has got no direction. The most dull part is the section which covers Dharma… I think Shantanu should provide a link to Incognito’s blog and then rest. The rubbish part is the posts where FTI and FTI folks are covered. Good commentary of Dirt Digger, Incognito etc., is missing these days which also takes away joy and pleasure of running through the blog.

    Dear Shantanu ji,

It’s not the question of how many posts, how many articles, how many visitors etc. it’s simply the question of your sincerity, dedication and hard work you put into, to create awareness. You’re one of my favorities. Whatever we do even single-handedly, it echoes everywhere. After all, it was Gandhi ji, the one man, who thought differently!

    Wish you good luck.

    With warm regards,

  4. Stay on course with your ‘high quality’ effort, at least till you add another 0(zero)to your number of 1000. Bharat and Dharma needs many more like you.
    Best wishes.

@ Sanjeev: Thanks a lot…I am aware of the amount you write for FTI – which would easily exceed 1000 posts by now!

    *** COMMENT EDITED ***

I forgot to add one more thing… There is lack of humor in the comments.

    *** NOTE by Shantanu ***

Rohit: For humour, read the daily newspaper…or visit the numerous other sites on the net. However, if there is sufficient demand (!), I may open a new thread dedicated exclusively to humour, fair enough?

    Shantanu,
Congrats on your 1000th post. You have been a significant influence in guiding the thoughts of a lot of people (including my meager efforts in blogging).
I have had to manage some personal issues with health of members of my family and have not had the opportunity to review some of your posts.
Hopefully will get back actively next year.
    Regards.
