This may be the reason why our old time teachers use to give this exercise in class for not performing well. Modern time public dismissed as embarrassing punishment. I believe if something is or was in existence had the reasons. I remember in village school 2 punishment was for sure. Ruler or Stick on the palm and this “Kan Patti”.

Before dismissing anything lets find the reasons behind it.

    Thanks for wonderful video.

Dr.Eric Robbins is a cheat, is a thief. I do this every time I visit Ganesha temple!!! This is preposterous!! I hope Ganesha is watching!!!

  4. Indian says:

Did they trade mark? OH I missed that, I just watch some of it. OMG! I too do at home very often in the morning at least 20, it helped me tremendously for fats and other illness. I to do this before Ganesha in temple for forgiveness and wisdom.!

Hey lets tell them our teacher use to give this exercise when we did not perform well. Similar reasons what they gave above.

This the west’s notion of intellectual property rights. They steal the intellectual property of others and claim rights over them. I wonder though that since this is the religious practice of millions of Hindus, is there anyway we can challenge the trademark? Right now, we should be gearing up to sue Dr.Eric Robbins.

  6. K. Harapriya says:

For those who want to protest against the stealing of our religious practices, please go to the Hindu American Foundation website at http://www.hinduamericanfoundation.org and join them or send and inquiry asking whether they can go after this Dr. Robbins legally. This is the same organization that went after the California Textbooks case.

It is really funny to watch this video. We Indians all aware of what this is exactly. It is clearly shows that how India gains the complete mental power. Even kids in India do the same everyday whenever he/she visits temple. USA will hold patent to this..Ha Ha Ha…It is again Copy Paste mechanism. Please people try to innovate something rather than copying the existing on

  8. Hindu Atheist says:

People may be focusing on the wrong topic here (ohhhh.. “west” stealing from “east”).

Sochne wali baat hain: If it was this easy to go from “normal brain” to “super brain”, then India by now should have a statistically abnormal production of genuises. 🙂

I don’t know about autism cases, may be someone can post a link to the peer-reviewed study of autism cases and impact of this particular physical exercise.

  9. Muthu says:

This is called Thoopikaranam !!!! in Tamil. In South India , there will be Lord Ganesh at the exit of the temple under a tree. All do this shown in the video at VazhiPilliyar (Ganesha at the exit of the temple). This Thoopikaranam is done by all now in the temple and is not restricted to the VazhiPillaiyar.

. Yoga is a way of life, a conscious act, not a set or series of learning principles. The dexterity, grace, and poise you cultivate, as a matter of course, is the natural outcome of regular practice. You require no major effort. In fact trying hard will turn your practices into a humdrum, painful, even injurious routine and will eventually slow down your progress. Subsequently, and interestingly, the therapeutic effect of Yoga is the direct result of involving the mind totally in inspiring (breathing) the body to awaken. Yoga is probably the only form of physical activity that massages each and every one of the body’s glands and organs. This includes the prostate, a gland that seldom, if ever, gets externally stimulated in one’s whole life

    the trademark is genuine.

because they did research and they told the correct posture, because without correct posture its useless to do it, the techniques are universal. we all can use it, and by the way they are not marketing it for more money rather than they are trying to spread the knowledge.
