Empowering India and another small step towards change

16 December 2008 15 views One Comment

Last month, the Liberty Institute in New Delhi launched Empowering India – a website dedicated to “Making democracy meaningful”

The goal of the website is to empower citizens, help them become more active participants in the democractic process and help them with information and a rich repository of data including information about elections and affidavits filed by candidates during state assembly and parliament election.

The site is also “working to include information about constituencies, and performance indicators of legislators.”

This is a great initiative that deserves our full support. Please visit the site and spread the word.
