Comment moderation policy relaxed

19 September 2008 15 views No Comment

To allow for a more robust and engaging discussion on my blog on various topics, I am relaxing the comment moderation rules with immediate effect.

From now on, if you are an “approved” commentator (i.e. at least one of your comments has been approved in the past), your comment will no longer be held for moderation and you will be able to see it go *live* on the site immediately.

Hope this is helpful and if you have any thoughts, please let me know.

Just to reiterate, I still reserve the right to edit/delete/combine/moderate any and all comment(s) and just because a comment has been published does not necessarily mean I agree with the commentator or their thoughts.

I believe in free and open discussions but the usual boundaries for a sensible discussion will apply.

In case you have not read it before, pl. spend a few minutes on my comment moderation policy (below).

*** COMMENT MODERATION POLICY ***

I reserve the right to delete, edit or modify any comment submitted to this site without prior notification and/or explanation.

If you do not agree with this, please do not submit your comment. Conversely, by submitting a comment, you agree to bound by the comment policy stated herein and implicitly grant me editorial control.

.

Please also note:

Comments, views, opinions and links submitted by readers or subscribers reflect their individual views and neither I nor the publisher shall be held accountable or liable for them in any way, now or in future.

Publishing of the comment (or links) on this site does not necessarily mean that I approve, support, endorse or encourage the opinions, thoughts or feelings (or any other content) expressed therein. It should not be assumed that I agree with or otherwise endorse any particular comment or comments just because I let them remain on the site.

Please remember, sometimes “silence is golden”. Pl avoid giving out personal information. Avoid rants, diatribes and “boiler-plate” responses.

.

Final important points:

Please stick to civil language; please refrain from personal insults; please avoid dismissive arguments; and of course, no abuse or vulgarity allowed.

Thanks for your patience and support.
