You are right about the public toilets. I agree 100%. My point about telescope was in reference to current context in this thread (science).

Also, yes past achievements can definitely be a source of inspiration.

One superstition you can add to the list, that needs to be removed, is the irrational hostility of the so-called rationalists towards practices of yoga and ayurveda. These idiotic armchair warriors haven’t even done one pose or given yoga a chance, yet wax eloquent on how “unscientific” (whatever that means) it is.
