Now You See Him, Now You Don’t*

What most of us long suspected, or knew, has just been confirmed by Interpol:

INTERPOL admits Dawood’s presence in Pakistan.

So whats stopping him from being extradited over? A minor technicality….Pakistan refuses to admit that Dawood Ibrahim is in the country :-(

Never mind…once they do, we have everything lined up…including a number of flight options and easier availability of visa(s) !!

Sorry, I forgot…Shri Ibrahim is an Indian citizen…

or is he?

His passport has been revoked by the Government of India… but that may only be a minor problem… as Pakistan’s government has reportedly issued him a Pakistani passport under a different name.

    Dear Sir,
What a discovery? Full credit should be given to Interpol, that “AT LAST” they have come to know the wherabouts of Shri. Ibrahim.
I am sure they will make other discoveries that IRAQ had no WMD’s, now that Saddam has been Killed. They will also discover that the Sun rises in the East and sets in the West
We will then have a panel discussion and a Big Fight on whether the fact that Interpol should have disclosed the whereabouts of Shri. Ibrahim.
May be we will also have a few people having sleepless nights wondering how this will affect Shri: Ibrahim and his friends all over the world.
    Regards

    Latest Update:

Pak to consider request for extraditing Dawood: Gilani
    May 10, 2008 19:49 IST

“…Replying to a specific question about India’s demand for extradition of Dawood Ibrahim, who New Delhi says is based in Pakistan, Gilani initially refused to comment saying he had ‘not studied’ the matter or been briefed on it.

On being pressed and asked if his government would extradite Ibrahim if the Indian government made a good case, Gilani said, “Yes, I have an open mind. Again, the onus is on (the Indian) side”.

Does this mean that the government of Pakistan now accepts Dawood is after all in Pakistan?

From: Dawood’s henchman tells it like it is in Karachi by Nandu R Kulkarni, Aug 23, ’08

MUMBAI, Aug 23: If there’s been any confusion about Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar’s present whereabouts, it is now largely dispelled by one of his loyal aides.

Karimullah Khan Osen Khan, who was picked up on Thursday, told the crime branch of Mumbai police that India’s most-wanted underworld gangster lived in Karachi’s posh Clifton locality in a two-acre palatial bungalow with at least six former officers of the Pakistani army protecting him. “All is well with Dawood and his gang and his crime business is flourishing through diversification,” Karimullah told investigators.

From ‘Top UAE diplomat in India has Dawood links’ by Ashish Khetan:

It’s now clear that Dawood has a diplomat as his man in the heart of Mumbai. Will the Indian government wake up? Will the external affairs ministry now ask the UAE to withdraw Dawood’s frontman from Indian soil?
