Just stumbled on this topic. I think many issues which unnecessarily becomes contentious can be avoided by using the actual word VEDIC or SANATAN. Both are same and ETERNAL.

Guys: At least one of you should show some maturity and take this discussion to the right thread which I have mentioned in comment #48.

Any further comment on RSS on this post may be deleted without notice. I am using my privilege as a publisher to have the last word (below).

@ Aman: If you are sincere in your desire to get to the bottom of RSS and Gandhi's assasination, I am sure you will welcome a debate on the other thread...I am willing to examine your evidence with an open mind - and I ask you to do the same with whatever is presented as counter-evidence (instead of dismissing it with tangential remarks).

As for the Kapur Commission, this is what it apparently said in its report regarding the RSS:

...RSS as such were not responsible for the murder of Mahatma Gandhi, meaning thereby that one could not name the organization as such as being responsible for that most diabolical crime, the murder of the apostle of peace. It has not been proved that they (the accused) were members of the RSS which shows that they (the accused) were believers in a more violent form of activities...

- Kapur Commission Report, Vol. 1, Page 165

Are you ready to discuss? NOT on this thread but on the other one (I might even open a new thread)?

If you are, I will copy/paste your comments from here and we can continue the discussion. To make it more meaningful, please suggest links to the evidence you mention.

Just to be clear: I need not emphasise that this forum is meant for an open discussion - and I will be the last person to stifle a good debate...My only request is to please do it on the right thread so that everyone benefits and the content remains reasonably organised.
Thanks

Arjun, Kaffir, Sandeep,

That depends on whether I have Shantanu's permission to continue that conversation on this thread. I'd like to respect his desire to not have us veer off topic.

1. Evidence is available in the testimony of digambar bagde (the approver in the case), the testimony of Morarji Desai & others; and in the findings of the later Kapur Commission.
golwalkar went underground when maps of Muslim localities were recovered from his trunk. they were planning riot details. Till today we read about bombs exploding in Nagpur & we discover that rss men were making those bombs. Do we need more evidence against any of them?

2. sure savarkar was once a freedom fighter. but so was jinnah once!
their good past is clouded by what they did later.
And no other freedom fighter signed a declaration saying that he/she would refrain from all activities against the british, to be let out of jail. when you compare savarkar to a bhagat singh, he doesn't qualify as a "veer"...

3. How this discussion can veer around to Muslims being terrorists I do not understand. Does it say anything about any ill-will & deep rooted mistrust you may have against them...?

If LeT, SIMI men etc. are found involved in terrorist activities & you say that the LeT/SIMI is the embodiment of evil, that would make perfect sense. Similarly the rss. Their history of preaching hate & engineering violence is well documented. Therefore they are evil. No one here is saying that all Hindus/Muslims are bad because savarkar, golwalkar, godse, jinnah, laden etc. were bad. Just saying that the rss, al-qaeda etc. are evil. Just stating facts.
