The great joke that is Indian media…

Read this George Orwell-esque newsreport this morning (from IBN Live, “Clash in Gujarat over Osama posters“):

“…Fifteen people, including three police personnel, were injured when members of a community clashed with the police after midnight on the issue of displaying posters of Al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden, on Friday near a place of worship here.”

Amazingly the whole incident is reported without once giving away the identity of the “community” – Does anyone know who they are referring to? (Reminded me of Please, no “M-word” here)

If readers have come across other similar newsreports/links, please forward them to me or include them in the comments section. Thanks.

Update: Slightly modified the headline to more accurately reflect the sentiment.

Yeah, no words like “right wing”, “nationalist”, “thugs”, “goons”, “fringe elements” to describe these worthies!

Such adjectives are reserved only for the hapless majority community!

There are also some other issues related to media that we need to be aware of also:

    1) Bias against Hindus from Christian/Islamic perspectives
    2) Depicting Hindus and Hinduism in a poor light while
    glorifying other religions
    3) Subtly coaxing particular views/positions from viewership
by use of selected visual images and carefully chosen
    words- often repeated.
    4) Mis-reporting and exaggerated statistics/actual figures
    5) Use of negative reporting on Hindu affairs to portray
    Hindus/Hinduism as non desirable

Also ever notice on TV shows every time a particular special
effect is used to portray something negative,(usually
connected to a temple, extortion etc…) it is repeated 3-4
    times, why ?

These are some of the things that I have observed, what
must be done is that a body/council must be formed to
monitor this and document and catalog instances of what,
when and how this was done.

After collecting evidence to support the claims this must
then be presented to the various Governments and media
authorities to stop the nonsense !

Nothing will happen even if it is documented

Do you remeber what Respected High COURT JUDGES (as opposed tro these uneducated, immoral, unethical, drunkard traitor thugs called “Indian Media Presstitutes) SAID about HH Shankracharya of Kanchi case

“The SECULAR PIMPS of “so called Indian Press” should check their evil, selected activities whatever their ultier motives against the majority community and test the patience of the same, or be ready for the ferocious backlash”

    (Source: Haindavakeralam)

What the so called “Secular PIMPS and Whores” did, blacked the news out.

Ravindra, Pandit-ji and shadow: Thank you for your comments.

Pandit-ji: Thank you for the suggestion of documenting such instances…we can start by including/posting the links here.

Shadow: I am a little more optimistic than you – but only time will tell.

Not only jokes, they are real danger to the nation.

Sickular english media of Bharat and Jihadis are inseperable friends. They make-up the sickular brigades. The Assam Tribune, a noted english newspaper of Asom, sold-out its Editorial to a dreaded criminal Shahabuddin (an Laloo RJD MP, who is in jail and convicted in several serious cases). This state of affairs of India shows to the world what secular means in India and who are the secular forces – Jihadis, terrorrists, hindu-haters, communist traitors, so-called liberals, and their promoters english media of India.

The Congress manifesto and the UPA’s common minimum programme, followed by repeated assurances by the Prime Minister to the minorities for fair and generous deal have crystallised over the last three years in the PM’s new 15-point programme for the welfare of the minorities, followed by the Sachar and Mishra reports. Their historic and practical importance cannot be overhauled.

Hope the following is not off-topic. It talks about how indian media outlets avoid criticizing their peers. It is something that is common in western media outlets where editorials and commentaries often discuss content from other papers. In a way, this or the lack of it in India is partly the reason for poor journalism quality in India. It has taken blogs (like this one) to come out in criticism of articles that often even supply misinformation.
