I agree muslims are living in pathetic area. But let me tell you ( I have worked in muslim dominated area as doctor for 20years) Muslim leaders and clergy r responsible for it, not anyone else. The clergy tell muslims to pray 5 times, to keep wives in purdah to produce many children but they never talk of sending children in main stream education, educating women, keeping small family which is beneficial for any individual. Why? because if muslim persons do so they will be enlightened and develop, who will botheer for the clergy then? It is for their own selfish interests that people leading Muslim community want their brethren to remain undeveloped. The responsibility lies with educated and well off Muslims to guide their fellow brothers and sisters how to come up in life.

As someone once put it:

‘Radical Islam is a violent death cult, and Moderate Islam is its Trojan Horse.’

There must be moderates in Pakistan. But, where are the minorities who should have been protected by the so called moderates. What is the fate of the 1% that is still left out. Where are the moderates in the Kashmir valley when the Hindu Pandits were driven out to remain as refugees in their own land.
