Madrassas on Nepal border…

14 August 2006 20 views One Comment

The government still appears to be unwilling to make thelink between the increasing number of Madrassas along the India-Nepal border and infiltration of terrorists from Pakistan via Nepal.

See this: “Around 1900 Islamic seminaries have come up on both sides of the Indo-Nepal border in recent times and security agencies are keeping a close watch on 50 or 60 “sensitive” ones among them, Director General of Sashastra Seema Bal Tilak Kak said…”

and this:

Pakistan-based terrorists are taking advantage of the porous Indo-Nepal border to sneak into the country and New Delhi has taken up the “security concern” with Kathmandu….Minister of State for Home S Regupathy told Rajya Sabha today (26th July).

To another question, he said the government was aware that the number of madrassas near the Indo-Nepal border had shown an increase.”
