Someone in Pune also tried the failed attempt on me. The person is a teacher in some school (A Hindu convert). She used take us home for various reasons like bdays, some function. Then one day I was not feeling well and did not attend a ceremony at her house and informed her about the same. In next 30 minutes I got a call from some pastor saying that he wants to pray to Jesus for my health, I said fine you can pray for me. But soon after this incidence, on the occasion of her sister’s birthday she invited me and one of my friends. There the pastor was also present. Here also for no reason the pastor prayed for my career and life. And both of them started singing praises about Jesus. They started comparing Shri Ganeshji with Jesus and said look “Jesus is only god, who woke up from death for betterment of human life.”
I was embarrassed and irritated by this idiotic behaviour. I coined the question what was the religion of Jesus Christ’s father? And left them red-faced as they did not even know Jesus’s father’s name. Then I asked about St Peter. They did not know anything apart from the evangelism training. Then after some background check I found that both them received a good amount and job in Christian run school and they also receive incentives for new conversion.

So guys/girls beware of such people and show them their place. Don’t hurt them but ask them to explain Christianity and trap them.

A long time back, I even remember him trying to cobble together a Grand Alliance against the Beast and trying to rope us Hindus into it.

It is slightly dated here, but I reproduce what I wrote at that time. It is slightly virulent, written in the heat of the moment but I feel I have been very controlled in expressing my contempt.

From a country that produced Rousseau and Sartre, Medecins sans Frontiers, the Cathedral at Chartres, the Statue of Liberty and many other things the world can be proud of, you had to go and choose this!

Anti-Semitism had always been quite fashionable among the upper classes in Europe. What is surprising is reading this Frenchman rant against the Bosnians (please note that the Bosnians, Croats and Serbs in Tito’s Yugoslavia were distinct nationalities) for siding with the Axis powers and then branding them Muslims to suit his agenda. He forgets that Christian Croats, Ukrainians and quite a few other nations did side with the Axis powers. That it was only a matter of British support that went to the Partisans instead of the Cetniks that enabled Tito to come out on top after the war. That the war was a matter of realpolitik and economics designed by the super-powers at gaining control of lucrative empires/ putting their puppets in place by exploiting weaknesses in the existing political setup. That his own country capitulated to the Nazi might and thereafter actively collaborated with the Germans. To such a great extent that it was found necessary to restrict retribution to a few cops and prostitutes since a real clean-up might have defeated a whole army of Monsieur Samsons – there were too many collaborators.

It is quite surprising to find a respectable newspaper like yours giving precious space to this man who tries to cobble together a case for an anti-Muslim alliance by quoting falsified history out of context. This man who can proudly prostitute the Karma Siddhanta to justify atrocities would have been a Navaratna in Hitler’s court if he had been born a few decades earlier. He needs to remember that all nations/communities without distinction have committed crimes against humanity. The root cause of all these was hubris – the perpetrators of evil thought that they were superior to the victims; to them, they were Untermensch, Chandalas, barbarians. Cringing in shame for the evils of our fore-fathers is not called for. Learning from them is. The human race has to grow up sometime rather than keep on remembering century-old wrongs and justifying new wrongdoing.

As far as we are concerned, the great clash of civilisations may be fought out between the two prevalent Semitic faiths the Christians and the Muslims without involving us Hindus / Buddhists / Shintoites/ Chinese Communists. If he can get some support from Orthodox Jews who forget that the seeds of their conflict with the Muslims in Israel were sown by the white-skinned Europeans and the Arabs were just pawns in their hands, he is welcome to it.

We will be there to pick up the bits afterwards. With all its faults, India has much to be proud of. And does not need a half-literate Frenchman to teach us what we should do. We have our faults, we have unresolved conflicts, we have caste-based and communal problems and conflicts. But we are aware of them and will muddle our way through some-how. We were building great temples and composing some of the most hauntingly beautiful poetry while Gautier’s ancestors were still in the trees. He needs to be told ” Don’t teach your grandmother to suck eggs”.”

All the comments which followed that hoax comment seems to be bombarding on me. I could not keep a track of the debate after I posted the comment no.1 . I was not aware that some one was using my name to publish his vendetta.

I am quite surprised why the person who is hosting this page could not distinguish between a real identity and a hoax as we provide details such as email and website along with our comment and name.

I want to tell all the bloggers who have been participating in the debate that I have a high regard for Goutier’s writings and would always like to read more of his books. I strongly support Gautier’s writings.
